Mechanical Blade, the Soul of Wire Stripping Machine

Imagine how important the cable is in today’s world! Open any household or office electronic product, such as TV, cell phone and computer, you will find there are ribbon cables and interconnected wires in these electronic products although they  look like full of circuit board at the first glance. More than that, cables are also widely used in various electric conductors, transport equipment and medical equipment. From here we can see that cables play a very important role in our life and work and cable scrap recycling has a huge market.

Cable stripping refers to strip the insulation from the metal core for further processing. The traditional methods include mechanical stripping, chemical stripping and hot-type stripping. Of these three methods, mechanical stripping, that is, wire stripper is a more eco-friendly and widely used method.

Mechanical blade is a tool of widespread use in wire stripping industry, especially for the stripping of regular circular wires. But we should notice that using the damaged blade or the blade not in accord with wire type, all these will do harm to conductor. Therefore, the quality of mechanical blade has great influence on the performance of wire stripping machine. In the process of stripping, the blade needs to undertake huge pressure and undergoes high temperature in the relative movement with chip. This requires that a good mechanical blade is not only wear-resisting but also resistant to high temperature; hence most of these tools adopt P type hard metal. More than that, in order to improve the cutting effect and cutting speed; a coating is deposited on the P type hard metal.

The blade of Whirlston’s wire stripping machine has adopted the most advance craft, guaranteeing the good function of wire stripping machine. More importantly, all its models are CE certificated.
